the many benefits of meal prepping

Meal prepping can be a very daunting thing but I view it as a necessary habit to establish if you’re looking to switch to a healthier, whole food plant-based lifestyle. Personally, I was incredibly resistant to meal prepping in the beginning but now that I do it consistently, I can’t imagine a week without it. And now I want to tell the world!

Here are a few reasons why meal prepping is worth considering if it’s not already part of your weekly practice.

Saves Time

Yes, it seems like a big undertaking on a Sunday, but trust me, you won’t believe how much TIME you free up during the week!

You Have a Plan

You can wake up in the morning knowing you have food prepped for your entire day

Saves Money

You’re less likely to eat out if the easy choice is already waiting for you in the fridge. No need to pick-up food on your way home from work

Reduces Stress

This is the #1 reason I started meal prepping. It cuts down on decisional fatigue by having one, or more like three less things to think about during the day. No more back and forth with the “What do you want for dinner?” discussions!

Cuts Down on Food Waste

When you’re purposeful about buying ingredients for the week and eating the meals you prep, it’s a win win!
