Food is not the enemy. Diet culture is! SAY IT LOUDER!

It takes a lot of intentional work to get to a place where you can let go of the diet mentality…we’re surrounded by it! In today’s fast paced society, there’s always a sexy “quick fix” being thrown at us…supplements, detoxes, fat burning pills. But moving away from the diet mentality means reevaluating your goals and how you measure progress!

Mindful eating is a journey…A LIFESTYLE. It is something that must be practiced every day. Mindful eating places the focus on our relationship with food and how it makes us feel versus the food itself. It’s also less about what you are avoiding/restricting and more about the positive things that you are adding MORE of.

It’s when you reach a place where you can confidently choose foods that:

  • Honor your health
  • Make you feel great
  • Taste delicious

All without the restriction mindset.

Are you transitioning from the diet mentality to mindful eating? Let me know your experiences in the comments!
