Don’t let your fridge rob you of clarity!
As the weekend comes to a close, at this point I’ve done my grocery shopping for the upcoming week, my fridge starts to look like the “before” picture.
But, by the time Monday afternoon rolls around and my meal prep is complete, my fridge takes on a whole new look for the week.
Everything has a place, which makes getting ready for work and coming home after work to prepare dinner a cinch!
Here are a few quick tips you can start implementing today to get you on your way to a more organized fridge and a clearer mind:
- Keep up with expired food, condiments, and beverages… whatever that “past due” item is, it doesn’t need to be in your fridge any longer. Bite the bullet and get rid of it!
- Adjust the shelving in your fridge to best meet your needs. Just because your fridge’s shelving came a certain way, doesn’t mean it has to stay that way.
- From now on, start creating spaces for certain items. Example: All the nut butters are in the upper left corner of the fridge and all the greens are in the bottom right drawer. This will help you keep better track of the items in your fridge.
- Start each week fresh. Take 3-5 minutes (yes, that’s it!) at the beginning of each week and do a quick organization. Even something as simple as having all your items face forward so that you can easily spot and read them makes a huge difference!
Here’s what’s on the menu this week!
Breakfast: Veggie tofu scramble with hashbrowns
Snack: Roasted red pepper hummus with GF crackers (these are my favorite) or veggies
Lunch: Veggie dal over brown rice inspired by Oh She Glows
Dinner: Chickpea salad from the Dreamy Leaf Cookbook with fresh fruit
