Diet plans or programs that eliminate fruit to help you reduce calories for rapid weight loss is a HUGE RED FLAG.

WHY YOU SHOULD EAT FRUIT:
- contain essential vitamins and minerals
- full of fiber
- high percentage water (some contain >90%)
- provide immune boosting antioxidants
Eating a diet high in fruits and veg can reduce risk of developing heart disease, cancer, inflammation, and diabetes. I’m an advocate for all things plants unless there’s a true contraindication. Moral of the story: Don’t be afraid to eat fruit! It is especially beneficial if it’s replacing other calorie-dense but nutrient-poor foods in your diet. Try subbing a sweet, fattening dessert for a piece of fruit and notice the difference!
